Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef
Akira Back The Rooftop, located in Sanur, Bali, is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. If you have a proven track record in fine dining cuisine, particularly Japanese/Asian, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic establishment. This is a full-time position.
Qualifications:
- At least minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field preferably in Japanese/Asian fine dining cuisine.
- Good personality and attitude.
- High attention to detail and able to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skill of English (Spoken & Written).
- Able to join immediately.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef in all kitchen operations and management.
- Supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Overseeing specific kitchen sections (e.g., hot kitchen, cold kitchen, sushi bar) as assigned.
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared according to Akira Back’s recipes and quality standards.
- Managing inventory, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all hygiene regulations.
- Contributing to menu development and innovation, especially within Japanese/Asian cuisine.
- Handling kitchen administrative tasks and reports as required.
- Collaborating effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
